Pets that are in pain are miserable. For this reason, we will do whatever we can to keep your pets comfortable.
We have many different choices when it comes to treating a pet's pain. There are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs which are very helpful with mild pain. We also prescribe steroids which can offer a lot of relief. We also have stronger pain medications if the non-steroidal medications are not enough. We also offer glucosamine in tablets and injections to help with arthritis.
It is our goal to provide you with complete veterinary care in a professional and accessible atmosphere. That is why we offer a fully stocked pharmacy to fill your pets' prescription needs.
Having an on-site pharmacy provides you with a more convenient way to get your pets' medication. We hope that this will save you time and ultimately enhance your experience with us.
We offer a variety of solutions and treatments for your pets' orthopedic issues. We understand that orthopedic problems can be a big challenge for both pets and pet owners so we are dedicated to working with you and communicating with you throughout the process.

Echocardiography is a non-invasive procedure that evaluates the structure and function of the heart in real time. This is a highly specified diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians determine the extent and/or type of heart disease the patient has. We gather these images in clinic and send them through telemedicine for a full assessment by a cardiologist. SPVC is proud to be one of the few clinics in Alberta to offer this service.
Rehab can be utilized for a variety of cases including prevention and management of arthritis, pain control post and pre surgical, non-surgical injuries, ensuring strength and mobility in the athlete patient and neurological rehabilitation (i.e. vestibular or IVDD patients). Our registered physical therapist Miranda Shumborski works along side our veterinarians to provide the best possible care for those difficult orthopedic/neurological cases.
GI endoscopy, also known as esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) or upper endoscopy, is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the interior lining of your upper digestive tract. This includes your esophagus, stomach, and the first part of your small intestine (duodenum). Using a thin, flexible tube equipped with a light and camera, a doctor (usually a gastroenterologist) can directly visualize and diagnose a variety of conditions affecting these organs.
